Cephalopods - term derived from the greek words “head” and “feet” - include squid, octopuses, cuttlefish and nautiluses. Regarded as the most intelligent of invertebrates, some of these marine mollusks have developed unique adaptations to the aquatic environment such as extreme flexibility, rapid color change, jet propulsion and three hearts.
